The Red Lake River Corridor Enhancement Group maintains a listserv. Here are few quick guidelines for the listserv:

  1. This is intended to be a communications tool for the advocates of the RLRCE projects. News, stories, ideas, meeting notices, etc. will be posted here.
  2. Members of the listserv may post by sending an email to rlrce@nature.umcrookston.edu
  3. When you reply to an posting, the reply will go to the poster (person sending the original message) only.
  4. Please post information in the text of the email and avoid using attachments.
  5. General information about the listserv is posted at http://nature.umcrookston.edu/mailman/listinfo/rlrce.
  6. Anyone can subcribe to the listserv by visiting http://nature.umcrookston.edu/mailman/listinfo/rlrce, and members can unsubcribe or make changes to their information as well.
  7. All postings are archived at http://nature.umcrookston.edu/pipermail/rlrce/, there is link from the information page above to the archives as well.

How a Listserv works .

A listserv is simply a computer that maintains a list of subscribers to a particular list.  In some respects, it acts as an electronic photocopier and mailer.  Any message sent to the list is duplicated and sent to everyone who is subscribed to that list.

First, you must “subscribe” or sign onto the list --- essentially you must add you email address to the list of recipients.  After that, you are free to sit back and listen or get involved and post a message.

Good luck and Ejoy the news delivered right to your email box!
